MACC & Kumu Kahua Theatre present A JIVEBOMBER'S CHRISTMAS
This warmly nostalgic, lighthearted play is set in the winter of 1943 in a World War II relocation camp. The upbeat plot follows a group of young men and women who were raised on jive and jazz, social clubs and swing dancing, as they rehearse a Christmas variety show to keep their spirits up.
The play was written by Dom and Sachiko Magwili and produced to recognize the Issei and Nisei who endured the American camps and made the best of a very harsh situation. It is a celebration of their spirit and honors their experience.
