Uluwehi Guerrero & Halau Kauluokala's "Celebration of the Heart" Concert
Kumu Hula/Recording Artist Uluwehi Guerrero Celebrates his 30th year of sharing his incredible Music and Hula with the world with a Concert Spectacular at the MACC's Castle Theater on September 1st.
"Faith" sustains Uluwehi as he stands upon a firm foundation of knowledge, wisdom and constant nurturing, guided by his kupuna (ancestors) and numerous mentors. They have encouraged him on his life long path, filled with dedication and passion in his love of Hawaiian culture.
"Hope" fills Uluwehi's heart with passion. For thirty years, he has mentored and nurtured hundreds of students. As Kumu Hula of Halau Kauluokala, he continues to instill knowledge, confidence and enduring pride to his over 300 students, thus ensuring the legacy and continuance of a culture strong in traditional values and respect for all things Hawaiian.
"Aloha" is at the very core of Uluwehi. His inspiration for music and hula is a reflection of his love, which embraces every aspect of creation and life. Through the eyes and heart of a Hawaiian man who hails from Maui, Uluwehi has lovingly and selflessly dedicated his life to hula and the music of Hawaii with a passion.
