to Feature Live Music and Silent Auction

Leilani Farm Sanctuary in Haiku has been selected as the non-profit organization of the month at Flatbread Company in Paia. A portion of all pizza sales on Tuesday evening, July 3rd, will be donated by the restaurant to the sanctuary.
Animal enthusiasts and supporters of Leilani Farm Sanctuary’s education programs can take advantage of a fun and delicious opportunity to show their support by attending this fun event. “It will be a great night to mingle with friends, share stories about animals, and enjoy delicious pizza, hot out of the oven” says Laurelee Blanchard, founder of the sanctuary.
Volunteers will answer questions and provide information about the sanctuary. A silent auction will feature products and services donated by merchants and artists. To donate an item or gift certificate for the silent auction, please contact 298-8544 or info@leilanifarmsanctuary.org
Entertainment will be provided from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. by the lively trio Soul Kitchen, featuring the superb vocals of Tempa Nave, accompanied by Michael Elam on the keys and Naor Nave on guitar.
Leilani Farm Sanctuary -- home to goats, pigs, ducks, tortoises, cats, chickens, donkeys and rabbits -- is located on nearly eight heavenly acres of tropical land. There are rolling green pastures for goats and donkeys to graze, hundreds of trees for the cats to climb, a botanical garden for rabbits, and jungle environments for the chickens to explore. The sanctuary is truly a paradise for animals who have been rescued and now have an opportunity to enjoy a bit of heaven right here on earth!
The sanctuary was named in honor of Leilani, the farm's first resident donkey. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization created to provide shelter and care for abused and rescued animals, and humane education to the community.
