Michael H. Lyons II Memorial Scholarship Fund 2012 Palaka Award Luncheon & Golf Ball Drop
The 2012 Palaka Award Luncheon and Golf Ball Drop is hosted by the Rotary Club of Kahului and Alexander and Baldwin, the event title sponsor, on Friday, August 24, 2012. It will be held at the King Kamehameha Golf Club, Waikapu Room. Registration begins at 11 am. Witness the spectacle of a Golf Ball Drop at Noon. The Palaka Award Luncheon directly follows the Golf Ball Drop. Luncheon and Golf Ball Drop tickets can be purchased online at www.kahuluirotary.com or from a club member.
The Palaka Award is presented to a board member, volunteer, or committee member whose impact and length of service to a nonprofit exceeds 5 years and demonstrates commitment, dedication, and caring with Aloha. Nominations are accepted online through July 8 at www.kahuluirotary.com
Net proceeds directly fund the Rotary Club of Kahului's Michael H. Lyons Scholarship Program, providing college scholarships for exceptional Maui youth. The fund is named in honor of Mike Lyons who loved Maui and was the epitome of a Rotarian and a prominent figure of Maui's community.
