Soaring Voices: Recent Ceramics by Women from Japan
This remarkable collection of ceramics by an equally remarkable group of women soars to the island of Maui in the final stop of the exhibit’s successful North American tour. This is the last chance to view this stunning 86-piece collection by 25 contemporary artists before it returns to Japan. Opening events for Soaring Voices include gala receptions, symposium by exhibit curators and Asian art experts, artist lectures and demonstrations from October 19 through 23. Schaefer International Galley is open Wednesday – Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm; admission is free. Maui Arts & Cultural Center offers ample parking.
