Picnic for Poki Hawaiian Music Concert
Hawaiian music concert in Historic Wailuku
Roselani Place, Maui's premier assisted living community, and Ola Na Mele Productions proudly present Picnic for Poki with live Hawaiian music on Thursday, August 16, 2012 under the shade of the monkey pod tree on the grounds of the historic Ka'ahumanu Church, 103 South High Street in Wailuku. This free community event will be from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Our guest will be Just Us, featuring musicians James Prespetero and Joe Chee. Their music is inspired by kanikapila style of traditional Hawaiian Music.
Take a mid-day break and enjoy the beautiful sounds of Hawaii. There will be delicious fresh baked cookies and coffee from the Roselani Place kitchen. Bring your lunch, a lawn chair, and most importantly, bring a friend.
Picnic for Poki is held every third Thursday on the month to continue bringing the spirit of aloha and Hawaiian music to the Maui community in honor of the late Allen "Braddah Poki" Pokipala. Braddah Poki was dedicated to sharing Hawaiian music throughout various venues in Hawaii. For more information, contact Diane at (808) 871-7720.
