Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge Seasonal Saturday Opening
Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge visitor center and Kanuimanu Ponds public viewing area will be open to the public from 8am-3pm on Saturday, September 15. A talk by volunteer Sonny Gamponia titled, "Wetland Wonders" will be held at the visitor center from 11am-12noon. Visitors can tour the exhibit hall in the visitor center and view native birds in a wetland environment. Come out and explore a Hawaiian wetland and reconnect with nature! The refuge is located at Milepost 6 on the Mokulele Hwy (Highway 311) near Kihei. Admission is free and kids are welcome!
