Maui National Plug In Day Kick-Off and Charging Station Dedication
Maui's first National Plug In Day will kick-off Friday, Sept. 21st at 10:30 a.m. with the dedication of Maui's first DC Fast Charger and Wailuku Town's first public charging station at the Maui County Building at 200 S. High Street in Wailuku. Four-time Grammy Award winner Uncle George Kahumoku, Jr. will conduct the blessing of the charging stations, the Maui Electric Auto Association will present its Transformational Leadership Award, and Mayor Alan Arakawa will issue an official Proclamation of National Plug In Day in Maui County. National Plug In Day is the nation's largest grassroots electric transportation awareness event.
