Maui National Plug In Day and Electric Vehicle Test Drives
Members of the new Maui Electric Auto Association will be showing off a Nissan Leaf and discussing and demonstrating their EV's at a booth inside the Maui Swap Meet. Just outside the Swap Meet, in the UH Maui College parking lot, MauiEVA (Electric Vehicle Alliance) Project partners Bio-Beetle Rental Car, Hawaii Electric Vehicle Alliance, Enterprise Rental Car, Jim Falk Motors, and Maui Toyota will be offering test-drives of electric vehicles currently available on Maui, including the Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, and Plug-In Prius. Enterprise will be offering drawings for a free weekend rental of an electric car. Maui National Plug In Day is presented by the Maui Electric Auto Association and UH Maui College MauiEVA Project and hosted by Maui Swap Meet. National Plug In Day is the nation's largest grassroot electric transportation event.
