Story of Hawaii Museum presents a Hawaiian History Evening with artists Travis Turqueza, Steven Koa Kakaio, and Kahala Mossman

The Story of Hawaii Museum presents a Hawaiian History Evening featuring a presentation by artists Travis Turqueza and Steven Koa Kakaio entitlted "A Cultural Comparison of Early Hawaii and Contemporary Misconceptions." The evening also includes live music by Maui musician Kahala Mossman and light refreshments.

The Story of Hawaii Museum is a unique exhibit that tells the tale of the Islands presented in a new way -- through historic maps, charts, documents, and artifacts. Located next to the Maui Ocean Center, it is open daily from 10am-5pm. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children and includes a free "Mapping of Hawaii" DVD. Guided tours are available for $10 per person.

The Story of Hawaii Museum is a unique exhibit that tells the tale of the Islands presented in a new way - thorough historic maps, charts, documents, and artifacts. The display is set up in choronological order so that you can follow the history of Hawaii just by taking a stroll around the exhibit. It includes rare prints, maps, and authentic antique pieces, some hundreds of years old. Special presentations on a wide variety of topics are scheduled throughout the month.
