Waihe'e Shoreline Cleanup and Potluck
The shoreline along the Waihe'e Coastal Dunes and Wetland Preserve is an area that a lot of debris floats ashore. On Saturday, Nov 12 from 10am to noon there will be a cleanup in cooperation with HILT and Malama Maui Nui with a potluck following. So if you'd like to visit the preserve and do some good for the aina then please come out and bring a hat, sunscreen, water and some food to share and spend some time with some awesome people. Malama Maui Nui will be providing trash bags, buckets, gloves and pickers. It is advised to wear sturdy shoes as much of the shoreline is rocky and footing is tricky. The main gate will be open so drive in and pass the large open field on the right, past the rundown house and continue to the beginning of the trail pas the boarded up building on the left. People will be at the camp grounds so please do not park too close to their campsites.
