Campaign Kick-Off for State House of Representatives District 11 Candidate Don Couch

I hope this event encourages you to meet me, ask questions and enjoy a local-style evening of ono grinds
and entertainment.
A suggested $20 donation to the campaign can be made at the event. If you are unable to join us but
would like to contribute to the campaign, you can do so by going to my website (www.doncouch.com) or
by mail to the following address:

Don Couch Campaign Committee
PO Box 1212
Kihei, HI 96753

While this is a district race and only people from South Maui can vote for me, I encourage everyone to get
involved since decisions made at the state level affects all of Maui.

I am currently an executive assistant to Maui County Mayor Alan Arakawa and prior to that I served three
consecutive terms on the County Council, from 2011 thru 2016.

During my Council service, I was Planning Committee chairman for six years; vice-chairman of the Policy
and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. Prior to my council service I was deputy director of the Department
of Planning under Arakawa.

As a 27-year resident of Kihei, I was also a founding member of Kihei’s “Fourth Friday Town Party”; served
as a volunteer and board member of the Kihei Community Association; have been a member of the board of
directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui since 2004.

In my current position in Arakawa’s administration, I have represented Maui County at the state legislature
on bills important to Maui. I am also working with the Department of Education to determine the safest pedestrian
access to the future Kihei high school.

Date: Wednesday, May 16th, 2018

Time: 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Cost: A suggested $20 donation to the campaign can be made at the event.
