Restore Honokowai with Maui Cultural Lands
Spend a day off the beaten path and help restore an ancient Hawaiian village on the west side. Remove invasive plants encroaching on an 800-year-old archaeological site deep in the valley and learn about Hawaiian medicinal plants, history, and culture. Closed-toed shoes, a long-sleeved shirt, pants, and a hat are strongly recommended. Please bring your own gardening gloves, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, water, and lunch. Tools will be provided. NOTE: conditions are rough, the sun is very hot, and you will get dirty! Groups and families are welcome. Space is limited, RSVP required.
