Maui Men's March Against Violence
PAU Violence, a UH Maui College sexual violence prevention project, in collaboration with the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa Women's Center, and Made in Hope invite you to participate in our first annual "Maui Men’s March Against Violence," a men's march to stop domestic violence, sexual assault, gender violence, and other forms of intimate partner violence. This event will be held on Thursday, October 25th, 2018, from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Starting on the Lawn of the Kahului Boys & Girls club and ending at the UH Maui College Campus Great Lawn. “Maui Men’s March Against Violence” is being held to increase awareness about issues of violence towards women on our campus and in our community. Through this march, we ask men to be the leaders in the fight towards preventing violence against women. It is our hope that this event will open up communication about various forms of intimate partner violence and to help men better understand and appreciate their partner's experiences. It also highlights the fact that domestic violence, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence does not just affect women but also the men, family, and friends who care about them. For more information, please contact email@example.com. The campus will be open to our Maui community with informational services from local agencies. We are inviting our students, faculty and staff, community agencies, UH Maui College Administrators, support agencies, State and County officials, and others to this educational experience.
