The Maui Centennial Puwalu presents educator Lehua Enomoto discussing "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Hawaiian Homesteading." Also, farmer/community organizer Kealapono Sterling describes her success in getting funding for homeland projects. In addition, event organizers offer an interactive survey on Hawaiian homesteaders' needs and concerns. This eighth in a 10-part Puwalu series celebrates the centennial of the 1921 federal Hawaiian Homes Commission Act that established the Hawaiian-homestead program. The Puwalu repeats from 5 to 7 pm June 11 and July 9 with different presenters.
