On Wednesday, March 22, at 5:30 pm, the public is invited to join The Friends of Haleakalā National Park for the annual membership meeting at UH Maui College’s Ka‘aike Building, room 105CD, (entrance off of Wahinepi’o Avenue).
5:30 pm, talk story in the atrium
6:00 pm presentation from Chris Warren, the Forest Bird Coordinator for Haleakalā National Park who will share his experience from the field on forest birds and the efforts to stop avian malaria.
7:00 – 8:00 pm Updates on the park’s programs and concerns by Haleakalā National Park Superintendent Natalie Gates and Chief of Interpretation Jin Prugsawan .
Brief year-in-review and 2023 plans by Friends board & election of board by members.
The Friends of Haleakalā National Park membership dues are $30 per year. New members can join and current members can renew at the meeting or by clicking "join us" on our website at fhnp.org.
