Jazz Maui presents Sunset Jazz featuring world-class live jazz music and chocolate/beverage pairings every Sunday from 5-7pm at the Maui Ku'ia Estate Chocolate Factory in Lahaina. On March 26th award-winning saxophonist Rock Hendricks of Paul Hardcastle and the Jazz Masters performs along with guitarist Mitch Kepa. Rock Hendricks is an American saxophonist best known for his long-time collaboration with British music producer and composer Paul Hardcastle. Rock has performed and recorded with many legendary performers including Michael Jackson, John Lee Hooker, Michael Buble, The Temptations, Leon Russell, and Sammy Hagar to name a few. He has enjoyed living in Hawaii and performing and recording with Hoku award-winning artists such as Cecilio and Kapono, The Cazimero Brothers, Kalapna, and Nohelani Cypriano. Rock's 1946 King Super Tenor was originally made for the great sax legend Lester Young.

Guitarist and vocalist Metch Kepa has been performing for more than 30 years, concentrating on vocals first and guitar second. One of Maui's finest acoustic masters, he plays a variety of music genres including jazz, Hawaiian, and rock n' roll.

Held in the Maui Ku'ia Estate Chocolate Bar upstairs open-air pavilion, Sunset Jazz offers great live jazz music and sunset views. During the concerts, the chocolate factory features a cafefully curated wine, spirits and beer list along with three flights of chocolate and beverage pairings for purchase. Chocolate Sommeliers are on hand to assist with pairings or imbibers can create their own.

Sunset Jazz concert attendees must be 21 or older and have a valid photo ID. Seating is limited and often sold out so advance ticket purchase is required.  Proceeds from concert ticket sales benefit Jazz Maui's jusic education programs.
